3rd Post - Multiple Intelligence Test

"Back so soon" you would be thinking.. but I am trying to figure out how to do all the week one activities in ICT & it's driving me crazy!! There is way too much to be done.

So the Birmingham grid for learning - Multiple Intelligence Test.  My results are as follows;

2nd Post - Learning Styles

My results from Felder & Solomon's learning styles and strategies test as prescribed in the Week 1 Readings are as follows;

1.  My learning style incorporates a strong preference towards being 'Active' other than 'Reflective', 'Sensing' other than 'Intuitive', 'Sequential' other than 'Global' and balanced between 'Verbal' and 'Visual'.

Therefore the learning experiences that would suit me best include but are not limited to the following;
-          group work/ partner collaboration
-          activities which allow me to discuss, apply or explain the information to another
-          trying/testing experiments
-          problem solving
-          think, pair, share
-          learn actual facts
-          reflecting on real-world situations
-          use of pictures, diagrams, flow charts, timelines, films and demonstrations
-          written and spoken explanations
-          concept mapping
-          logically following step by step
-          relate information to pre-existing knowledge and experiences

2.  To support the range of learning styles for each lesson in my class of 25 students, I would develop my lesson experience plans to incorporate activities covering the topic with plenty of different resources.  The variety of resources should hopefully cater for all different learners.  Resources and activities such as reading texts, hands on experiments, listening to explanations, question and answer time and so forth are just some of the possibilities.  I also think student’s need to be able to work at their own pace, in which you can develop activities based on step 1(the base questions) step 2(the harder questions) and step 3(the advanced questions), whilst guiding the learning and supervising the classroom, the students are free to work at their own pace.

3. My design and digital pedagogy could support learners better by

4. I would be asking profiling questions such as ...... to ensure I was catering for everyone’s needs.

    1st Post

    Well hello to everyone & welcome aboard my first blog!
    My name is Kimberley and I am a full time GDLT (primary) student.  I am absolutely petrified of blogging and wiki's thus far.  Hopefully I will enjoy this journey of learning and teaching.

    I look forward to learning the ins and outs of digital technology and of course implementing and evaluating these in Qld primary schools as well.  Let's begin term one!
